Osprey Banding

I am very lucky to have been involved in a banding and satellite tracking of two osprey captured in our botanical garden.  We are probably the only botanical garden in North America, if not the world, to have their own pair of breeding osprey.  To boot, ours are actually nesting in a tree rather than a man-made platform.  To get a handle on where our birds go in winter, two birds were tagged...in time they will hopefully shed some light on their winter-time activities!
