Iridescent Leaf

Luminous as only nature can be, man only hopes to make a pale imitation in paint.  I especially like coming across leaves that have turned iridescent as their pigments ebb completely away.  Only once the bright greens of summer, the loud, warm earth tones of autumn, and even the muted tans of winter are faded to nothing, are the most elusive, fairy's wings colors allowed to shine.
