2016 Thursday -- Teacher In-Service Day

This is Day 2 -- the chancellor of the college district was first on the agenda this morning. He gave us a thorough update on the college and the district and some statistics for our region. He's interesting to listen to and that certainly gave us a nice kickoff to the morning.

The rest of the day was fairly informative too. We had a safety workshop with the chief of police of our college district, two FBI agents, and the head of the San Bernardino Police Department. They spoke about "active shooter" preparedness. Overall the workshop sparked lots of discussion and a lively question and answer session.

The afternoon sessions provided lots of good information about the various departments and programs on campus.
