University Parks: Salvia and Silk

Spot the silk fibre in large.

I found a whole load of interesting flowers in the University Park; amazing what I found when I (almost, very nearly) ruled out the bees...

This would be my alternative, but I'm not sure what it is! The others interesting specimens are right from my unknown alternative.
