Home or hospital
I wonder myself some times.
Brought this one home after a late night collection last night. He was soaking wet and full of sand and little pebbles in between his feathers. Some kids had kept throwing him in the sea and he was getting rolled in the waves. He looked in such a sorry state and very weak. As he was so saturated he was very heavy and struggling to move his wings. I was hoping I could clean him up and dry him off so he was less heavy and build his strength up with some recovery formula. Sadly he was just as weak this morning, very anemic and really not in good shape. Can't save them all but boy do I wish I could of had words with those children!
Tonight I have pigeon staying over and almost a very bitey snake, thankfully a colleague took that one off my hands. Another snake had to be put to sleep after vet advice. Vet also told me that it had to be frozen for 24 hours before cremation. It was out of hours so have no access to work freezers, so I currently have a dead snake in my freezer, must remember that before I invite people over for dinner.....
The big storm last night has done wonders for my head today and it's nowhere near as muggy. Hoping the good weather will stay for next week when I have a few days off.
