sending letters...

...is an art form

it's flowerfriday and of course - bikerbear has given us another twist - which is 'letter' for the day - in turning this over in my head - i got to thinking about all the 'letters' in the new testament in the bible - this one i am showing is of 2 timothy - written by paul - paul was infamous for taking pen to scroll - using it to encourage the disciples of old - to keep the faith - carry on in spite of suffering - that better days were to come - what we live on this earth is but temporary - i love how his letters are always filled with kindness and compassion - but always written by hand

in this day of social media - we have fallen away from hand written letters - gone are the days when we run to the post - to see who has sent us a message - now it's email or twitter or facebook or instant messaging or a text - we live by those little emoji's for communication - i find that disheartening and sad - we need to take back the written word - claim it as our own - use it to build one another up - use it as it was 1st intended - for then we will be guaranteed to have...
