Berry Good

Well the strawberries don't seem to mind the rain, and have started ripening in hordes with even just a wee bit of sun. Same goes for the raspberries, and pretty much everything in the garden except the tomatoes at the moment. And today was yet another wet one. I got soaked riding into work, except my backside - praise be for mudguards...

One bit of news from the weekend, which I didn't bother with since I knew it would lead to social network messages of "are you going to eat it?" Ruby, one of our second pairs of chooks, died overnight from Friday to Saturday. She'd not been well for a few days, and it had that inevitable feel about it. Poor chook. Now waiting to see how Skye reacts to life in the front run on her own, to see if she's going to behave with Holly and Roxy, so they can all move in together.

Work today was busy, expectedly so, with daft emails asking me to do something ahead of a meeting tomorrow that I'd said I'd for the meeting tomorrow last Friday. Seems to be in the middle of some game-playing, so the three day break starting on Wednesday can't come soon enough (even if it's lead to quite a bit of stress about making sure everything is in order before I'm not around).
