Where I am

is here..finally.  After 3 full days of driving about 1800 miles we arrived at this log house we are leasing in Slater, Colorado.  It is surrounded by mountains and the dark green on the left is where the creek flows.  The creek is very low..we are hoping the trout are still alive in the deeper parts.  Some sections I can walk across on the rocks, which I will probably do tomorrow..need walking after being in the truck for 3 days!

On another happy note..the temperature all day never got above 72 plus when we got here around 4:30, it was 60!   I am loving that cool air and no humidity!

It will take about 3 days for us to get used to the elevation of 7500 feet..hard to walk  uphill and with any speed without stopping to breathe in some air.   I can't wait to start hiking!
