The Cross

The cross has been on the hill in front of our house since 1980. The first one that was put up there was put up by my brother who carried the wooden cross to the top of the hill and set it up. It blew down, or was taken down and over the years we have had different crosses which have always somehow fallen. This one is one my nephew made and, as you can see, is made of metal and is now embedded in concrete!! At this time of year the sun hits it and it glows, as it did tonight for a short time.
