After being convinced I'd be OK to take my long lens to the Eventing today, I wussed out at the last minute as with the zoom extended the lens is well over 30cm. I still took the SLR with me & what it lacked in zoom, it more than made up for with the 12fps. I call it 'machine gun mode' and it frighted the life out of a few spectators near me when I first used it.

This is Mary King on Imperial cavalier, she was the best scoring British rider, helping the team win Silver & placing 5th in the individual event.
