Just a thought

I am puzzled, in a positive way I think.

I love both music and photography. Both are arts of expression and skill. BUT ! While there is a gentle degree of technological progress in musical instruments most stuff is traditional and what as well how you play is a result of hours of hard graft, enjoyable and loved of course. 

Cameras are bit different. We are bombarded with new sensors, pixel counts and lots of other stuff. The technical quality of images is enhanced by clever electronics taking away necessity for skill. Years ago people needed to understand exposure, use the light meter, choose the right film and so on. Is it good or bad ? I am not sure. I will continue with both but I find music much more demanding. Having said all that there is no substitute for the  creative mind and this is what creates great pictures in any camera :::))))))))
