Newport City Centre Daybreak

I was up and out early to do a scheduled job; as I arrived in Newport City Centre is was quiet and the there was a mix of sunrise bringing its daylight. No sooner had I got a photograph than it started to rain. The forecast was correct. The photo shows the City bridge with castle, the River Usk, Rodney Parade which houses the City's football and Rugby teams, plus a host of city centre buildings.

This afternoon I attended the Cardiff City FC v Reading match where Cardiff had all the chances but ended up losing 0-1 to virtually Reading's only real shot of the match. We did not have our Scottish International goalkeeper as he was left out pending sale to Hull City in the Premiership. Cardiff are having a bit of a sale with our best players being sold off to shave £10million off the wage bill. I cannot see it being a promotion chasing season.
