Great Preston Silver Jubilee Garden
It was a lovely warm morning so we decided to explore an old farm track we used to use, but it was all overgrown then we noticed a stile going into a wood alongside it and found a woodland walk which led to a huge wild flower meadow, great for picnics and dogs playing, we carried on across the meadow and came back through another wood. We noticed how lovely the garden by the village hall looked and went to read up about it. The walk we had been on had been created by the Great Preston community and so had the garden for the Silver Jubilee. The Garden has lots of different trees in it and when they are mature will look lovely. The Oak tree, surrounded by flowers, was grown from and acorn and presented by one of the royal estates apparently. The Extra pic shows a sun dial clock, you stand on the plinth and your shadow shows what time it is.
The other extra pic is my home made tomato soup from my own tomato's, lovely.
This afternoon it started to rain and it has never stopped, just one huge deluge the side of my house is flooded, that's the problem with concrete.
