Day 4: Winchester and Kingston Lacey

Packed up van and headed to Dorset. Stopped off at Winchester for the cathedral. Cracking gothic arches (literally in some places). Took guided tour - was brilliant - icing on the cake was the name of the guide: Harry Harris - that alone kept me amused during the boring history bits. Stopped off (giving the petrol devouring VW a rest) at Kingston Lacey for more photos of historic houses that I won't remember the names of.
