a walk will do us good!

My boy is exhausted. The way that the holidays have worked out has seen him away for eight days at Scout Camp followed by five days at an Adventure Week - kayaking and climbing. With his extra few days mixed between these two weeks, he has been to Liverpool for the day, a bowling and water park birthday celebration and shopped for school shoes and uniform. Top it all off with late nights watching the Olympics and you get the picture...

I still thought a walk down by the canal would be good for him this afternoon. He came, with his fishing net but was just not in the mood - all he really wants is some good old downtime on the Wii. I don't blame him. Except...

He has Holiday Club the next two days, followed by London and the Olympics, Friday swim and picnic with friends and back down to London Saturday for the Mountain Biking final. Back Sunday night before four days of Cricket Camp AND THEN he can relax as we head off for 17 days holiday in France.

But we are not bringing the Wii!
