Busy Day

I mentioned the other day that DS#1 had done some weeding - you can see here the result of his labours - certainly the tomatoes are happier to have a bit of space around them.
It has been a busy day. A party went off to Les Vans market getting back at 1:15pm and then we were bidden forth to lunch with a couple of English acquaintances, C&F, at Le Mas. With another English writer friend of theirs, it was all very jolly and a pleasure to be speaking nothing but English for a while. We got back from that at about 6pm to leave at 6:45pm for dinner with some Belgian friends, N&A, who live in the house known to the family as "Nice house but it must get no sun in Winter." Beautiful setting of an old mill right on the river adjacent to some excellent deep pools. Paella prepared in front of us and plenty of decent wine. My Flemish however needs brushing up......
