Bowl of tomatoes

The seeds I sowed at the end of January and have tended over the intevening months are bearing fruit. Sungold cherry tomatoes are superb while these Shirley look good but don't have the spectacular taste you really want in a tomato. All these are destined to be made into tomato sauce with a few reserved for tonight's fish with fennel and roasted vegetables.

The morning, as usual was spent in town, walking there and back. What was left of the afternoon was occupied with baking; bread rolls, cheese and marmite bread and sugar free banana bread.

Some good news this evening as another member of the family came into this world. Doreen became a great grandmother for the fourth time when her grand daughter gave birth to a daughter a few days early at 5lbs 13oz. Mother and baby are doing well. That makes Susan a Great Aunt to her fourth great niece.
