On the Ganavan road
A beautiful day in Oban today, so taking the advice of my daughter I explored the path which leads from behind the cathedral along to Dunollie. The path runs along initially behind some hotels and houses, but soon leaves them behind and continues along what I believe is a raised beach with towering cliffs of conglomerate rock on the right and views out towards Mull on the left.
I sat on a seat below Dunollie and enjoyed the views across to a cloud-topped Isle of Mull. A few moments later the gentle throbbing of engines signalled the approach of a ship, and sure enough a moment later the other Isle of Mull appeared around the corner, giving me a extra for today.
