A Smile Where You Least Expect It.
I haven't spent much time outside this summer. The heat and drought has been too much for me. But in spite of it, I do have a decent veggie garden growing and my perennials have mostly survived, albeit not the best they've been. I am most concerned about the trees though, because they are suffering deeply and I fear the long term outcome will not be good for many of them. But my camera took me outside today to take a closer look.
It's actually gorgeous today, only 83F. And I should have devoted the entire day to being outside; but instead I got caught up on some follow-up tasks for Big Fat Soap. I logged onto blipfoto a little while ago to browse my images. The thing I like best about having my blipfoto journal is that some of my favorite images are there and they are relatively easy to find. Once I find something I'm looking for I also have a record of the date I took it. I tell you, these folks who developed and maintain this site are creative geniuses! Even when people like me fall away from using it daily, it is still such a useful tool and library of our favorites. I got so excited by browsing my own images I grabbed my camera and walked around my garden. Amazing the thing still works after all this time.
I'm not a macro expert by any means, but by George I think this bee is smiling right at me.
I've missed you all...
