Sheep
Today I got asked to go out to a refugee village to translate for a nurse. I went reluctantly (I'm struggling not to give in to laziness at the moment) but had a brilliant visit and I'm excited to have met new yezidi families whom we can go back and visit.
When they heard a nurse (not me!) was in the village, others turned up with their ailments and I so enjoyed giving one of the mums breastfeeding advice.
They were probably some of the poorest families we've visited, living in a shepherd's croft. Each had 7-8 children - it amazes me how they survived 10 days with all the children in the heat up on the mountain 2 years ago when they fled. R did a good job looking after a malnourished-looking newborn and being thrown up on; the others taught the children how to do loom bands.
The photo is of some sheep who were in no hurry to get out of our way on the drive home.
