Diva!

The promised rain failed to arrive yet again today, so there was nothing for it but to go into the garden this afternoon and cool off in the paddling pool.
As this is my 'Violet day' , I was glad to have the help yet again of Son and Daughter #1 when it came to emptying and  refilling the pool and generally supervising her when she was in the water. 
Violet had a wonderful time splashing and playing: she loves bubbles but can't quite blow them on her own.  Instead she improvised with the bottle, using it as an impromptu microphone, and gave a wonderful performance complete with wonderful facial expressions and dramatic hand gestures.  Favourite song? Still 'Let it Go' from Frozen!

In other news:  I managed 10,000 steps today, without actually leaving the house: that's what looking after a 2 year old for the day can do for you!
