Ice Figures

Today we drove 200 miles to Kendal in the Lake District to meet up with son 2 and his family who had driven up from Stratford -on- Avon, a similar length of journey. 
Lovely to meet up with S & C and our 2 year old grandson C and lots of family pictures taken.

We walked up to Kendal Castle and for some reason there were blocks of melting ice on the castle walls - I thought these looked very human!

Needed a coffee stop on the way back to keep me awake but despite Bank Holiday weekend traffic was relatively light with no hold ups - probably a different story in the South of England.
