The dawn view over the adjacent field in yesterday’s extra was very different today. The two combine harvesters have been cutting the wheat and sending out clouds of chaff dust behind while tractors plied back and forth bringing in the grain. Fortunately it stayed dry most of the time and they moved onto other fields working in the dark. They didn’t stop until half past ten and returned with multitudes of lights illuminating the house. Now the workers can get a short rest until they start again probably soon before eight.
The extra is of wild raspberries from a local wood.
