The Dome

Magic seems to be the theme for the week, so we started today with a magic act, Chris Cook.  Again Holly went on to the stage, this time to draw a picture, and have Chris draw the exact same picture without seeing her's. Much more impressive to see than to read about here.

After that, we were in to a comedy called It's Got to be Perfect.  The story was of a bride marrying a Tory MP, future Prime Minister, so it had to be perfect.  So much so, that she arranged 22 rehearsals this month - the 22 shows during the Fringe.  Each day she had the audience play the parts of the groom, the best man, writing speeches, picking songs, etc.  It was very clever, and very funny.

Dinner tonight was at Harvey Nicols, for a deal we spotted by chance earlier in the week.  Three courses with a cocktail for £22.  The food was good, but the waitress rushed us through the three courses in around an hour without any chat, and added on a 10% service charge to the bill.  We asked her to remove it before we paid.

Later, in to another show, this time mind reading with Doug Segal.  His show designed to make you feel good, was pretty good.  It started blindfolded, with him revealing some of the things the audience had said would make them happy.  After that, it was more psychological in making ourselves happy.  Part of the act was about team work, so he got me and three others on to the stage to sit in a square formation, lying on the next person's legs, then removed the four chairs.  The big finale involved an audience member picking the lottery numbers on a ticket that had sat at the side of the stage all night.  We then conga-ed into the street to end the show!
