Quebec is building a huge new university hospital in the Eastern part of downtown. Bland architecture, of course, but at least the project holds the promise of better access to health care for Montrealers.

But unless we do something about the chronic shortage of doctors and nurses, the operating rooms and fancy new patient rooms will remain empty.
