Woodworking Competition

We traveled to yet another village today, San Francisco Pichataro, for a woodworking competition. This was organized by the same group who put on the Capula event, but was much bigger. Apparently this is the 13th annual competition. There were many displays of finished projects alá Capula, but the most interesting things is what appeared to be a head-to-head carving competition. On the main stage, were seven guys working feverishly to complete a carving. It looked like they were all working on the same design, on their own piece of wood. Some were further along than others, but it looked like they all had quite a ways to go.
