Lantana, the never ending weed.

Today was my day to help with Bush Care at Katandra Reserve which, along with a group of dedicated people, I do once a month. The others go far more frequently, mainly to get rid of the obnoxious weed lantana. Today we were once again confronted with several massive patches of lantana which not only covers the ground but also gets up into the trees. The work is seemingly never ending, but it does give us great pleasure when we can see what was, and what now is after we have managed to clear a patch. Today's patch however was not finished and we will return again to do battle another day!
