One for the confused simians
Monkey Puzzle (Araucaria araucana) branch detail, seen today in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
I love Monkey Puzzles, always have. There's just something about those spikes, the textured bark, it's like something Dr Seuss would come up with.
I also love the swirly bokeh that the Super Takumar 55mm f/1.8 lens provides. What it lack in sharpness it makes up for with character.
(Ignore the EXIF info, forgot to change the non-cpu lens setting to 55mm!)
