Friends at Harewood

Bank Holiday Monday 29th August 2016 (1465)

We started early to beat the crowds and went to Harewood House as we haven't been there for many years. We walked around the bird garden, had a short trip on the boat and walked around the grounds, including the Himalayan garden. It was a glorious day weather wise. 

After a simple picnic lunch in the shade we went to the terrace garden and I showed Mum how to use the panorama setting on her camera. I was tempted to blip a picture of the house myself as a record of where I had been but I really liked this shot of the owls, especially as it was taken through the mesh cage and they were in a dark corner. As you can see, the owls won but I've posted the house as an extra.

We braved the shops late afternoon in search of a new slow cooker. Getting one as good as my old one is easier said than done! I will have to continue my search online.
