So, so sad.......

This young kestral was rescued from the edge of the pond. We took it to a nearby wild animal sanctuary. The bird was very weak and apparently hadn't eaten for days because of a blockage in its throat. Something kestrals and also pigeons get and so just die of hunger. At least this little bird was put down, so it couldn't suffer any more. It stood a chance at this centre where all manner of creatures are taken and many do survive.
