Wells Moat Boat Races

The annual Wells Moat Boat Races, organised by the local Lion's Club drew a huge crowd today in the fine weather. What they lack in paddling finesse, the crews make up for in fancy dress and enthusiasm and lots of money is raised for local charities.

We bumped into my sister and brother-in-law in the High Street and enjoyed an impromptu lunch before joining the crowds by the Bishop's Palace Moat.
