Buckets of Sunshine
One of the reasons we're in Boston this week is that some friends we made on last year's cruise (the one to Tahiti, not the round South America one) flew in from England last night. They are staying in an Airbnb just a few blocks from our apartment for the next couple of days, and then they will spend one night with us on Wednesday before we put them on a train to New York City for further adventures. (We did offer to put them up for the whole time!)
Sadly, their accommodations are less than advertised, and we were a bit surprised to find our friends on the doorstep at 9:00 this morning, looking a bit jet lagged and woebegone! They'd popped awake very early, and as their hosts hadn't left even a scrap of food/tea/coffee for them, they'd ventured out in search of sustenance, and decided to come find us! We bolstered them with some tea and sympathy, and then led them off to their gathering point for the Freedom Trail tour they had booked.
Meanwhile, we scampered off to the grocery store to stock up our fridge. There is a new shop at the base of the Millennium Tower (see yesterday's entry) which is very well supplied with all sorts of delicious things, as well as having a very nice florist department. Here are some buckets full of glorious sunflowers they had on offer. (Yes, I did buy some!)
