The Usual Suspect
First Plover now Geese...two of 'em chased me today.
I picked up my Ma and Pa and took them up to Tambourine Mountain for lunch and basically a day out.....which was marvelous. The weather was superb and I nearly fell over when Dad started to was lyrical about how tall and lovely the trees were....He reckoned that if he was a tree hugger he would hug these ones.....well ......they were pretty spectacular ....Ghost Gums and very Tall Red Cedars.
We went and had lunch at an old English Pub 'The Fox and Hounds' ...................what is an English pub doing in Australia you may ask.
Apparently the bloke who built it brought over all the building materials from England ...which was a pub. It really was the real deal....just lovely.
Not only did we all feel at home and perhaps a little tickling of our roots that made us feel especially warm and fuzzy...it was lovely to see Mum get misty remembering growing up in my Grandparents Pub 'The Fox' in Archway London.
A very lovely day but I'm pooped...it's bloody exhausting running from rampant fowl.
