Spring Babies

On my way back from town late this morning I sidetracked into Pollard Park. It is such a beautiful peaceful place to visit. There was a young couple with a small toddler feeding the ducks in the river. I joined them to watch the birdlife. We were delighted to see two families of tiny ducklings swimming around. As we were watching, a big long finned eel slid out from under the bank and away through the water weeds. I hope those tiny ducklings are safe from that eel!
