Crystal Decanter

I spotted the light streaming through this crystal decanter top whilst walking round Canons Ashby today with my friends D and V. It was a glorious day, hot and sunny, and perfect for a day out.A photo of the country house is shown as an Extra.

The house was only given to the National Trust in 1981 and has remained largely undeveloped since 1717, but the Dryden family who donated it had inherited it in 1551.There are several Ashbys in Northamptonshire, the word meaning a farmstead.
