Getting to know you

Sam had negotiated a mega-sleepover quite a while ago, in celebration of seeing his friend Henry who moved away last year (see his Mum's journal),   Hence there are 5, 14 year old boys sitting in my back garden playing cards at 9.45...(and three more older ones inside the house).

The cards are called 'The Voting Game' which Sam gave to Josh for his birthday today ('BIG Happy Birthday Josh!').  They involve a question...e.g. "who is most likely to be awake at 4.00am"...and then they vote..and then they discuss who voted for who....and defend their answers.  (I think they have forgotten that I'm sitting in the next room, tee hee).

I'm loving it, there is a lot of loud, newly deep guffawing...

On a sadder note, lovely Gary delivered his last locusts to us today.  He has a landed a great job at Sparsholt College.  Best of luck Gary, thanks for all the support you have given us - we'll miss you.
