TomTom Trouble

We have had our sat nav for a few months. Occasionally there would be voice vibration in the announcements, perhaps the speaker has a fault? It has got much worse, almost constant at times, buzzing, very annoying on longer journeys.

We contacted the company who asked us to return it. Back it went, carefully packaged to The Netherlands.

Within a couple of days, they said it was on the way back with a letter in the box. I collected it today, poorly packaged and the note says they can't find the fault. The moment we switched it on, there was distortion in the voice announcement.

Has anyone out there had a similar problem with a TomTom? We are planning to be back in touch by email, not satisfied for such an expensive item.
