Baby Barn Owl!

Peter the owl man was in the office today checking out the Barn Owl boxes in the office roof (I work in the middle of the countryside), and look what he found!!

There were two baby owls, one was about 30 days old (this one) and the other 36 days. Both were very fuzzy and cute and just laid on their backs as we held them (for a very short time).

It is just amazing to see a man climb up a ladder in the office to go into the "loft" and pull out two baby owls. I always take my camera to work but don't use it that often, today I was glad I had it with me :-D

Peter was very pleased as numbers are down this year due to the bad weather, hopefully these two will have a bright future :-)
