Too Much

I think this year there are more rowan berries than ever before. In this particular tree, there are especially lot, perhaps even too much. There are two opposite old wisdoms about rowan berry amounts: 1) rowans can not carry two burden the same year i.e. with many berries there is less snow to be expected, and 2) rowans will feed the birds in heavy snow i.e. with many berries there is more snow. We need to monitor what happens - if we just remember ;-)
