Our first character spot

We slept well and after a quick breakfast got the Disney bus to Animal Kingdom for our first taste of the parks. I got 'randomly selected' for the first of several times, to walk through the x-ray machine once my bag had been searched, which became a standing joke through the holiday!

It didn't take long to find Donald Duck so the autograph book came out and we got some great pictures. It was a long and hot day with lots to see. We avoided a shower while we ate lunch. Charlotte wasn't keen on the Dinosaur ride but we all loved the Kali River Rapids - hubby got slightly wet!

We had booked tea at the Rainforest Cafe and it was fabulous, and lovely and cool! We were practically the last ones out of the park and had a bus to ourselves on the way back to Jambo House, exhausted but loving Disney.
