Here CC is gluing in a carbon fibre cylindrical brace to render the box of this new nylon-stringed harp guitar as rigid as possible.

Personally, I prefer to allow a bit of serendipity  - but I do get his point - The less stress you have on the table (soundboard) - the more it's free to vibrate.
