Rain stops play
As is typical for British weather, rain appeared and foiled our plans to get to the beach 3 days on the trot. So... Being the annoyingly educational parents we are, off we scooted to a nearby national trust site 'Arlington Court'.
I think this place had mostly been suggested more for my benefit than the kids though, seeing as the house was home to over ten generations of the historic Chichester family, which includes Sir Francis Chichester, who famously sailed single-handedly around the world in the sixties and is about as close to a genuine boys-own hero as you can get.
But, there was plenty for the kids to do, including this Victorian dress up room which I had to feature today. Don't be fooled too much by the little'un's sweet disposition in this photo. Only moments before she had remarked how the multiple layers of petticoats made her bum look big and then promptly started twerking in the room. That's my girl :D

PS. Thank you so much for the likes, stars and hearts yesterday - made it worth the risk of wading waist high into the sea with my decidedly unwaterproof camera to get the shot. No guts no glory :)
