Big camera, and a wee lens, with a wide view of the world. Apologies for another last minute snap of anything for today's (non) effort.
Tricky lens to use, and get the (manual) focusing just right, which can be a bit frustrating, but a lot of fun too. Have been using it a fair bit lately, with this camera, and its bigger sensor. Previously used for most of a Summer on the old, and long since sold, D40. Hadn't been impressed with it at all to start with, but with time grew to like it. Missed it when the shorter days arrived, and I switched to something with a wider aperture. Of course on this camera it's view is quite a bit wider, with the edges and corners being a bit more challenging. Like most wide angled lenses there's a fair amount of field curvature, which can be an advantage for some uses, and disadvantage for others. Hence part of the reason for spending more time with it. To get better acquainted.
