Thanks to Francis Fenton and his orchard, I've acquired a bag of apples just perfect for making apple butter.

After a whirlwind weekend with Old Home Days, I was happy to do some culinary work in my own kitchen this afternoon. Making apple butter isn't overly difficult, just requires you to be in the kitchen for a bit.

The end result is well worth the time spent! I'm anxious to spread this sweet apple spread over Mom's homemade english muffins.... is it breakfast yet?
