At Groningen

The rest day! Blue skies and 24C - we headed our separate ways awhile. First up, the luxury of sitting at a pavement cafe with coffee, croissant and Kindle. And confiture. Then round the Groninger Museum - one of those striking new landmark buildings. Some most interesting stuff (OK, old maps) and then a huge area given over to corrugated cardboard by Esther de Graaf. Some glum groups of kids were being dragged round. It's good to see it happens everywhere.
Och, then ginger beer at some hipster place, then a fotogallerie and nose round shops and finally a meet up with the chums at the ... maritime museum! 5/10 - and twas all in Dutch.
So then it was beers and food - downhill all the way, really. And so to bed. Well, after sitting out awhile. As we do.
