Button Moon Onion?

We're letting some of the vegetables in our garden plot go to seed.
This onion caught my eye today as it reminded me very much of Mr Spoon from the children's TV series 'Button Moon'.
Pity I wasn't a bit quicker.....it had been wearing a boater just moments earlier.
