Day 7 following the compass point lines from Glossop Town Centre in sequence through August.

It's been a very wet day so I waited and waited before setting off for this walk. By mid afternoon I became optimistic that the light would improve. I was rewarded for the effort of climbing up the steep ascent towards Bleaklow to a section called Yellow Slacks.

This photo shows Dowstone Clough on the western side of Bleaklow and features the local sandstone known as millstone grit.
