Back in the darkroom

I took this digital photo of a silver gelatin (black and white film) print today, but the print was made on Tuesday and the photo was taken some years ago. Blip would be very difficult to do properly with film photography.

It's been quite a while since we last had a functioning darkroom and we are still getting it up and running, however, it does seem to be possible which wasn't at all certain before we started. It's good to be back and seeing the magic of the print appear in the developing tray. It is harder work than digital photography, especially if you have to start by moving a lot of furniture about (this is a community centre and the room we are using is also used by a playgroup), but it does give me a different buzz from digital.
