Brown, with raindrops

After my burbling about autumn yesterday, the weather decided to agree with me, and by the time we were out (after 11ses) it was raining slightly. I was very much aware of not wanting to take yet another Glen Massan landscape under grey skies, so looked more at my feet, focussing on small things. That's how I saw this beautiful ditch - a king of ditches, as far as I was concerned, full of clear brown water, disturbed on the surface by the few rings of the large raindrops that were mercifully intermittent.

So despite the early sun that woke me at 7am, here's my wet autumn day photo. I like it anyway ...
