Hanging Paintings at Old World Deli
Can't believe I've never been here before, but it is true. I was very impressed with the Old World Deli in Bellingham. The espresso I ordered was sumptuously rich and delicious. And the food looks fantastic. I'll be coming back for sure.
This morning I met Trish here to hang the remaining paintings I have from my Venice series. I painted fourteen and there are six left including the biggest painting I've ever done, the one in this photograph that Trish took after we finished hanging the paintings. To give credit where due, Trish really did the bulk of the work. The paintings look fabulous against this red wall and the brick wall on the other side of the deli. Perfect match for an Italian deli with fantastic food. I am so happy they are there. They will be up at least through the month of October. Thanks to Trish for finding the venue and asking me for these paintings.
We finished about 11:30 and I had an hour and a half before my support group. So I went to the Coop and did some shopping. And then I stopped at another market known for its organic food and looked around.
I got to the group location an hour early. Nobody was there and the place was dark. I used my iPhone light to find the switch and then settled to eat some nuts and seeds I'd gotten at the Coop. Eventually the leaders and then the other participants arrived and we had an intense and lively meeting as we usually do. There are at least ten of us who are very close to each other in where we are in this journey, so the discussions are rich and helpful.
When we finished I headed home and settled on the deck for awhile while I waited for Arvin. He got home and sat with me for awhile. I got some okay but not great photos so I decided to use this one that Trish took of me at the deli. Tonight Arvin and I are having a quiet evening together. Right now he's resting and I'm doing my blip.
